Good times at the park

We have a pretty nice routine happening when we don't have other plans (which is most days). I come home from work, Ava and I reconnect and cuddle, she nurses, she naps, she wakes up and we go to the park!

We see the lovely bay and skyline a few feet from our front door:

She loves playing with these bells on the play structure in our nearby park

Unfortunately she slipped later on and got a little bump on her forehead! It was very sad.

But she gets back up and tries again. She likes to crawl up thee steps (with my assistance)

And she loves the sand.

(she found a goldfish cracker in the sand and tried to eat it right after this)

We also meet some pretty cute kids and nice moms and dads. Tonight we met some twins that were Ava's age (adjusted) that BOTH had red hair (a boy and girl). I felt the redhead connection and we all really hit it off.

I do love this neighborhood. Maybe someday we will be independently wealthy and can buy a house around here, but that is very doubtful. I saw a cute little place for sale nearby that I thought surely could not be more than 300k. For 600 sq feet it was 500k. YIKES. I also saw a house for rent near the park that looked small and somewhat old. It looked rundown and outdated and has the same amount of room we have in our apartment and is 60% more than what we pay a month. Crazy. We are very happy where we are and are very lucky to have found it. Also, our annoying neighbor who plays the drums and screams at/beats his girlfriend moved out, which is a big plus. I've called the police on him on one occasion and I was ready to complain to the landlord. He was the only bad seed in the complex, so hopefully someone neat moves in his place.
